Scholarships:

Dear Scholarship Applicant:

The Easthampton Little/Lassie League Scholarship is given in memory of three past, strong supporters of Easthampton Lassie League and youth athletics. In loving memory of Paul E. Caouette, Michelle Dostaler and Suzan Morneau, these scholarships will be awarded to selected seniors who have participated in Lassie League softball and who intend to further their education in a two or four year accredited college, business school or technical institute.

This year, the league will award a maximum of $1500 in scholarships. The scholarship is not based on financial need. The criteria for choosing recipients is as follows:

A graduating senior who

• has played on an Easthampton Little or Lassie League softball team for at least three years
• has earned an above average academic record (grade point average of B- or higher), as indicated on an official transcript
• has participated in excurricular sports and community activities
• is currently a resident of the town of Easthampton and is graduating from a local high school

The application deadline is May 7, 2004. Please return the completed application along with an official transcript to your guidance office. The guidance office will forward completed applications with transcripts to the Little/Lassie League Board of Directors.

Winners of the Easthampton Little/Lassie League Softball Scholarship will be announced at graduation or awards ceremonies.
